I am a caring, professional, fully qualified Counsellor and Hypnotherapist. I have a purpose-designed therapy room in whitefield, Manchester, to enable clients to feel comfortable, and to ensure confidentiality.

I am a person-centred therapist, meaning that I work in an equal way with my client, to explore their problem further in an empathic, congruent and non-judgemental way, in order to build a trusting client-counsellor relationship. I also integrate other therapeutic tools into my practice, for example, cognitive behavioural therapy, or mindfulness concepts, where this may be helpful to my client to enable them to achieve their aims. Sometimes, it may be difficult to verbalise a problem, so perhaps drawing it, or using stones to represent it can assist. It’s about what will help my client kthe most with their problem?

I am also a qualified hypnotherapist. I love hypnotherapy for its’ flexibility, ensuring that clients receive a tailor-made, professional service, where the clients’ needs are focussed upon 100%. Hypnotherapy is a safe therapy, the client is in full control of their mind at all times, and it is impossible to be ‘stuck’ in hypnosis.

Hypnosis empowers the client in taking control of their lives, and learning self-hypnosis enables the client to continue that improvement.

Although I cover many areas of hypnotherapy, I have a special interest in health-related issues –
Does going to the dentist or hospital make you anxious? Do you have a fear of needles? Perhaps you fear an upcoming operation or procedure? Do you have a chronic health condition, which affects your quality of life? are you struggling to cope with living with cancer? Does chronic pain rule your life?

I have worked for the past three years as both Counsellor and Hypnotherapist at a Cancer Support Centre, and prior to this worked at a Bereavement and Loss agency. My interest in health-related issues links to my background as a Registered Nurse.
