Lucy is a qualified counsellor, psychotherapist and meditation teacher. She uses a variety of techniques, including Relational Therapy, Life Coaching, Humanistic Approaches, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and many methods of Meditation.

Training and Experience

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and follow the BACP ethical Framework. I have lots of experience counselling and working with people form all cultures and diverse backgrounds. I have worked in private practice for many years , I have worked in schools with children and teenagers. I have also worked for Mind a leading mental health charity and have been a counsellor for students and staff at Leeds City College. I have offered Employment assistance and have worked for the charity Catholic Care.

I have broad ranging experience and have a track record of successfully helping people to understand themselves, their relationships and live their lives more fully.

I gained my qualifications at Leeds Metropolitan University. I have a degree in counselling and therapeutic studies and a masters level post graduate diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy. My university training was accredited by the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy.

I am able to draw from a range of therapeutic models ensuring I provide psychotherapy that is sensitive and adaptable to your individual needs.

I am also qualified as a Meditation and Yoga teacher, my training was in India with well respected teachers at a Yoga Alliance Registered school, so in some instances where appropriate and if requested I can incorporate breathing techniques and methods of meditation.
