I am an experienced, fully qualified counsellor working in private practice in Church Road in Hove and Fiveways in Brighton. I use an integrative approach, using my psychodynamic training along with CBT and other approaches where appropriate. The sessions are client led – you bring what you wish to the session and we work collaboratively to help you with your problems. I offer you kindness, acceptance, empathy, understanding and warmth, along with humour at times.

I have lots of experience of working with individuals who undergo many kinds of difficulties: including anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, bereavement and loss, relationship issues, separation, divorce, menopause, infertility, feelings of loneliness, low mood, stress and drug and alcohol dependency.

Fertility, pregnancy and loss
I have particular experience working with women encountering fertility issues, loss and difficulties during pregnancy.
I also have knowledge of donor assisted pregnancies and can offer support through this sometimes complicated and emotionally confusing time.

Menopause
The menopause can be a particularly challenging time in a women’s life. It isn’t discussed much in society and can leave women feeling isolated and confused about their symptoms and feelings associated with the changes happening to them. Don’t suffer alone with this.

Redundancy
I know first-hand how redundancy can affect you emotionally.
During and following redundancy people can go through serious feelings of loss and a resulting crash in confidence. It can feel similar to a bereavement. Speaking to someone about this can help you process the feelings and get your life back on track.
