My name is Rose Sadowski.

As a Dramatherapist, I believe Dramatherapy offers potential to heal and transform emotional wounds through exploring creative and dramatic mediums. Through this process something new and valuable is created, both inside and outside of ourselves.

Dramatherapy is the use of drama as a therapeutic tool. It is active and experiential, facilitating imagination and creativity, and encompasses all art forms. It offers clients a chance to explore what is happening in their internal world externally and creatively, to experience being both actor and witness in their own life, encouraging personal growth and deeper insight to the Self.

I work psychodynamically, whilst adopting a person centred approach, journeying alongside clients, gently guiding and supporting them as they move along their path.

Much of my work incorporates a ritual theatre structure, offering containment and symbolic freedom to find inner space and explore the authentic self from a different perspective.

I am also a qualified IFS practitioner, which allows clients to explore their inner world through meeting different parts of them, to help heal past wounds and bring self compassion, acceptance and transformation.

Depending on where a client is at in their journey, I offer a range of interventions and approaches, including embodiment, movement, projective work, story, mask, characterisation and role play.

My previous therapeutic work includes working in a range of settings, including Theatre, local community settings, eating disorder inpatient and outpatient services secure hospitals, prisons and schools, as well as private practice with individuals and groups.

I am based in central Bristol, HCPC registered (membership number AS4747), and a full member of the British Association of Dramatherapists.
At present my private sessional rates are:

Introductory session: Free
Hourly individual sessions: £55 p/h.
90 minute Group sessions: £40 p/h

I offer concessional rates for students:
Hourly individual sessions: £45 P/h.
90 minute group sessions: £35 P/h
