Are you worried about your child’s wellbeing? Do they show signs of stress, anxiety, or low mood? Do they refuse to talk to you? Do you and your child get into heated arguments? These feelings may be a result of a traumatic event, pressures from school, family difficulties, bullying or obsessions. Our children can perceive the world differently to us, and often we have forgotten what it was like to be a child or teenager. I provide online therapy or school appointments for children and teens where I work together with your child to overcome any mental or emotional issues they might be experiencing.
I offer short- and long-term therapy, employing a mixed approach of counselling and psychological approaches to provide a coherent and needs-led model of working. My main aim is to build up a therapeutic relationship with your child and provide them with a safe space to explore problems that they may not be comfortable talking to you about.
I appreciate that it can be very scary to go to therapy; I have no expectation that you or your child will continue with the therapeutic service, after your free 15 min telephone consultation. Your child is at the centre of my service. You have a voice in finding your path. As part of the practice, I work with adult counsellors who can provide support as well.
