Hi. I am a BACP Accredited counsellor (I have been working in the field for about 10 years and taken further tests with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy as proof of higher competency levels).

I have worked with literally thousands of people from many different backgrounds and cultures with their values and beliefs. What we do is look at how those values and beliefs are serving you, right now, and what you could usefully change, in what direction you could change them and how you could start to do so.

It sounds simple when I put it like that and it can be. It can also be hard and painful as we confront issues and ideas from your past, present and future. We explore, as openly and honestly as we can at each moment, your life. We look for new patterns and meanings, perhaps some hidden stories that contradict how you see yourself,. We might find some parts of your personality you have neglected or deny. You could then decide how and to what extent they could be useful to you in the life you want to make.
