I am trained as an Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, using Person-Centred Therapy as a base and drawing on Gestalt Therapy and some Transactional Analysis. I have completed a diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, so I also use some of that where appropriate.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I work to their guidelines and ethical framework. I am also signed up to their voluntary register.

It is entirely up to you what you bring to counselling. It can be a current crisis, a long running behaviour pattern or gaining an understanding of your relationships. Maybe you’re not sure what you want to bring, you just know something needs to change. I aim to provide a warm and safe space in which you can explore whatever is important to you.

I can work with a range of issues including depression, anxiety and self-esteem. I am also employed as a care and support worker with elderly people and disabled people. I can use insights gained working in the care profession to help you talk through any issues involving care and support, including end of life. I am mobile, so if mobility is a problem for you and you are not able to come to me, I can come to you. I am also able to offer Skype, FaceTime or ‘phone sessions.
